Wow, it’s been a minute. Looks like I haven’t written & published anything here on Medium since 2021 (a little over 2 years ago).

Sure, I’ve been busy since then. The design team I lead became nearly 5 times larger. I’ve spent a lot more time doing photography – lots of film. Started a screenplay with a couple of my oldest friends. Became adjunct faculty at a local university teaching a graduate design/business innovation course. These are all pretty lame excuses.

I’ve started a few new posts over the past couple years. They’re still in my drafts. Truth is, I often begin to write and then I start to over analyze and second guess myself. The voice inside my head starts whispering, “Who cares? This is so unoriginal. Someone way more accomplished than you has probably already written about this. No one is interested in what you have to say.” This usually leads me to abandoning the post. Just me? I doubt it.

Well, this is me telling that naysayer in my head to STFU. This is me making a commitment to get back to regularly writing. Will all of my upcoming posts be paradigm shifting examples of brilliance? Definitely not. Will some of them be decent – maybe even a little entertaining? I hope so. Frankly, I’m writing for me. If you get something out of what I write, that’s wonderful. Either way, I’ll publish more often. Let’s see where this journey takes me (us).

Disclaimer: I may use chatGPT from time to time to help me write 🤷‍♂️
